Last Day in Texas!

The kids are on their way to Utah. They had a great
last day in Texas. Jaden had his Christmas party
at preschool, Jaxon his Christmas Program, and
Chloe didn't care about school, she just wanted
to go to Grandma's house!
Jaxon got to be the donkey
that carried Mary. He was thrilled, but really
distracted by the costume!!!

Let it Snow...in Texas!

It's a miracle! It snowed in South Texas. I know

it's just a skiff, but it still counts doesn't it? It covered

the ground last night, but only remains on rooftops,

the deck and tramp. It is good and cold this morning.

Current temperature- 33 degrees. Love it!!!

Goodbye Texas

It's that time again! We are getting excited.
Our whole house is full of boxes (the packers were fast.
they finished in 2 days) and our
poor children are trying so hard not to climb on them.
The truck comes Monday!! (please hurry!)
We are sad to leave good friends, but are so excited
to get to North Carolina. We are also really excited to
spend Winter in Utah. We are looking forward to
lots of time with family.
We also got new phone numbers- K- 910-964-6699
D- 910-964-1559 (love my new iphone!!)

Christmas Breakfast

Our Ward had a Christmas Breakfast
this year. Of course Santa was there.
Jaden loved telling Santa what he wanted,
(I found out there were a few things on the list
I was unaware of! )
Chloe was really nervous. She's never been a big fan
of "Characters".
Jaxon was horrified. Santa finally bribed him with a
Candy Cane.

Twilight

My sister and Amy drug me to see
Twilight last night. I haven't read the
books (not really my genre of book) so
I went in unbiased. As a general review
I really liked the movie. I thought it was
a great flick. I hope all of you who are
faithful followers weren't disappointed and
enjoyed watching hot vampires as much
as I did.

Great Sports

We are so excited to have my sister and
BIL here for Thanksgiving! My neices are
beautiful!! I have missed them so much!
We had so much fun last night.
My boys couldn't wait to wrestle with thier Uncle
Peep! It's their favorite thing!! Aunt Chand
joined in on the fun too! Our house is super empty
right now (due to our immenent move) so there
was plenty of room to roll around and play. Herc
the dog got in on the action, the kids rode down the
stairs on a blow up mattress and we even had
one bloody nose from a crash. (Sorry Madalyn!)
Aunt Chandi has more pics...check out her blog!
Thanks guys for coming to share Thanksgiving with us!

Jaden's Motorcycle

We live at the bottom of a hill in a culdesac.
Poor Jaden has been watching our neighborhood
kids ride thier bikes down the hill all summer.
He hasn't quite figured out how to ride a bike
so we got him an early birthday gift. We found
this darling motorcycle at the BX. He loves it!!
It rolls just slow enough down the hill to keep
him alive! Thank Heaven!

...When There's Love At Home

It doesn't happen very often, so we had
to get a picture. The kids were so cute as
they watched The Grinch. I didn't
hear one "mom....he's/she's touching me.
It was great!
(Don't mind all the laundry in the background. It
was laundry day!)

Toilet Paper for Christmas

I'm not really sure why we bother to buy toys
at all! We had just come from Costco and the
boys were having more fun building slides
and forts out of the boxes, TP and papertowels
than they do with any toy!
Maybe we should ask for boxes and TP for
Christmas. I know Santa would be happy!

Colder weather

This morning it was 37 degrees. It was actually really cold!
The funniest thing, was Chloe's reaction to the cold.
Yesterday morning (it was about 41 degrees) she came
downstairs dressed in a 3/4 length shirt and some
stretchy black pants. I did my best to explain that
what she had on wasn't warm enough. She argued, put
her backpack on and proceeded out the door. She didn't
make it 2 steps out the front door when she turned around
and told me it was freezing and she was cold. (my plan all
along) let me also note that last Saturday my mother and
I spent an hour online with Chloe trying to help her pick
out some warmer gear for Utah winter. Every sweater
she saw she insisted was too hot and itchy.(definately not
my child). Back to yesterday..... Chloe started to throw
the most dramatic hissy fit I've ever seen about not having
anything warm to wear and not having a coat. I took this opportunity to explain
(while trying not to laugh, the fit was rather hysterical),
that at Gma's house this is how WARM it gets in the winter.
I asked if she thought it might be a good idea to wear
the sweaters we bought? She agreed and then proceeded
to put on the winter hat I got her in Amsterdam, A huge
scarf, gloves, and 2 coats. I should have taken her picture.
Sorry, no time for camera's...we were late for school!
Needless to say, I think my poor children are going to
have a rude awakening and a major adjustment
when they can't go jump on the
trampoline in thier underwear (my boys are famous for
streaking on the tramp), and play in the water all winter.

Christmas Music

I just have to make a comment about how
much I love Christmas music. One of our
local radio stations started playing it the
first week of November. I was really
excited to find it on the radio last week!
It makes long days at work and doing
laundry seem not so long and mundane!
It reminds me of Great Christmas mornings,
SNOW! and family. I put it on last week in one
of my buildings and the nurse in the office with
me was commenting how crazy it was that people
were already playing Christmas music. It was her
radio, so after she left the room about an hour later
I changed it back to her favorite Country station.
When she came back in, she had a fit at me for
taking it off the Christmas music. She said it was
growing on her and had put her in a better mood!
Needless to say we spent the remainder of the day
Singing (very loudly and not always well) Christmas
favorites. It made a day of charting much more
enjoyable!

Gas Prices

Although I don't like the Texas heat,
there are a few times in life when I am
proud to be a Texan! Gas dropped to
$1.89 this weekend. I never thought
we'd see gas below $2 again. My
BFF Amy calls and gives cheap gas
updates almost daily. She lives in a
small town outside of Austin! She gets
seriously cheap gas out there $1.83!
For all of you still paying over $2...
we'll hope for the best.

Home is Where the Heart Is!

Well, I never thought it would come to this,
but we have decided to move back to
Tremonton for a few months. We have
been throwing the idea around for a few
months, but had decided to stay here to
finish out the school year. Circumstances
have now changed and I decided I didn't want
to go it alone again for 7 months. David
has to go to Little Rock for 3 months for training
and then report directly to NC to start flying.
I thought it would be nice to have some
help and to get a good Utah winter in again.
My parent's have graciously opened thier
home to my crazy little family, to include the
200 pound dog! I hope we all live through it.
We are really excited to be close to family and old
friends again. Hopefully our new home in NC will
be finished by the begining of summer so my
parent's can kick us out before they go nuts!
Thanks Mom and Dad!

UEA weekend my parents and
gma/gpa Sandall came to Texas
to spend a couple of days.
We had a great weekend!
Sea World was great!
We played so hard that Jaxon fell
asleep at Chili's with a fry in his mouth!
We had way too much fun!!
The rollercoaster is called the
Steel EEL! Chloe was big enough
to ride it! She went 6 times!
The kids got to spend the weekend
with the gmparents in the Hotel.
Thanks Gma/Gpa and Great Grammy
and Great Papa
for the help and the break !
