Colder weather

This morning it was 37 degrees. It was actually really cold!
The funniest thing, was Chloe's reaction to the cold.
Yesterday morning (it was about 41 degrees) she came
downstairs dressed in a 3/4 length shirt and some
stretchy black pants. I did my best to explain that
what she had on wasn't warm enough. She argued, put
her backpack on and proceeded out the door. She didn't
make it 2 steps out the front door when she turned around
and told me it was freezing and she was cold. (my plan all
along) let me also note that last Saturday my mother and
I spent an hour online with Chloe trying to help her pick
out some warmer gear for Utah winter. Every sweater
she saw she insisted was too hot and itchy.(definately not
my child). Back to yesterday..... Chloe started to throw
the most dramatic hissy fit I've ever seen about not having
anything warm to wear and not having a coat. I took this opportunity to explain
(while trying not to laugh, the fit was rather hysterical),
that at Gma's house this is how WARM it gets in the winter.
I asked if she thought it might be a good idea to wear
the sweaters we bought? She agreed and then proceeded
to put on the winter hat I got her in Amsterdam, A huge
scarf, gloves, and 2 coats. I should have taken her picture.
Sorry, no time for camera's...we were late for school!
Needless to say, I think my poor children are going to
have a rude awakening and a major adjustment
when they can't go jump on the
trampoline in thier underwear (my boys are famous for
streaking on the tramp), and play in the water all winter.

I love this post. My kids are also acclimated to the warmer weather, and when we go to Tremonton, they FREEZE! Dylan is also scared of the trees because they don't have any leaves. My mom always tells me I have ruined my children!
