Respected

As a mom you often wonder if what you teach
your children actually penetrates and sticks.
Today my babysitter relayed something Jaxon
said to her that gave me hope someone is listening.
When Miss Jacki (the sitter) picked him up from school,
Jaxon (who is a very emotionally perceptive child)
noticed she was really quiet. He asked her if she was
Ok. She told him she was sad because
her grandfather had Cancer (she had to explain that
one to him- or at least try) and that he was dying.
Jaxon then said " I remember something- Jesus died for
him so he could be respected and you can see him again"
Now- although he didn't quite get ressurected right, he at
least understood the concept! PHEW! Maybe FHE isn't
just a half an hour of chaos! Miss Jacki did note that she
was amazed that it took a 4 year old to remind her of the
bigger picture! Thank Heaven for our children who remind
us that life is always about the bigger picture!

is at least 2 sizes too big, but

she loves it anyway. She is

loving karate! i love it because

it is helping her focus!

The Rat

We were sitting in the living room watching Scrubs
when I saw something move out of the corner of my eye.
I looked up to see a huge rat crawling out from behind
the entertainment center. There was a lot of screaming
on my part. david got his pellet gun and shot it. (great shot
might I add) I was totally freaking out, standing on the couch shouting
obsenities at my husband! i was more angry that there was a
rat in the house! Come to find out.. it came back with David
from his hunting trip. We started going through the house...it
was clean, but when we got to the back of the truck we started
finding traces of the little devil in David's hunting stuff!!
Hunting will be banned if the only thing he
brings home are disease infested rodents!

Laundry

So despite slacking last night, I have
to tell you all that my laundry is all
done, folded and put away.....noone
die of shock!! it doesn't happen very
often so I thought I had better share
the good news with everyone! Yeah
Me!

months ago, I did ask the anesthesiologist not to kill me!
6. What do you think of hot dogs? Love them- especially at a sporting event- somehow they taste better!
7. Favorite Christmas movie? White Christmas. (I just watched it last week!)
8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Milk!
9. Can you do push ups? yes, but please don't make me!
10. What’s your favorite piece of jewelry? I would say my wedding ring- however I haven't
been able to wear it since my 7th month of pregnancy with Jaden! So, probably my Mickey
Mouse ring.
11. Favorite hobby? Who has time for hobbies????
12. Do you have ADD? yep-more so the inability to sit still. When I was little my gmpa used to
tell me he would pay me a dollar for every minute I could sit still. I have yet to earn a dollar!

14. Name three thoughts at this exact moment. Hope chloe has stopped coughing, or is still breathing- can't hear her coughing anymore. I should fold the laundry instead of doing this.
David needs to stop yelling at his PSP...like it can hear him!

16. Current worry? How I'm going to get my house sold in the next 3 months!
17. Current hate right now? The pile of laundry I should be folding- laundry is the bane of my

19. How did you bring in the New Year? I fell asleep on my mom's couch way before midnight!
David was in the desert and the kids had been asleep for hours...no need to stay awake to watch
dick clark get older!

22. Do you own slippers? Yes, but it's too hot here to wear shoes let alone slippers!

Chicken Pox

It's official. Jaxon has chicken pox!
the good news- they think they are a
side effect of the chicken pox vaccine he
received 2 weeks ago! that means less pox,
less severe and less contagious!!! Bad news-
he has chicken pox!!! Hopefully the other
kids won't get them. It's inevitable that
when David leaves, someone gets sick.
Guess I'll be getting a lot done around
my house. Maybe I'll get caught up on my
laundry (yeah right!)

The Cup

This morning I was in the kitchen
making the kid's lunches when Jaden came
down carrying a cup. I've tried to train
them to bring any straying dishes to the
kitchen so I thought he was being a super
helper. Then I noticed the really mischevious
smile on his face....not good!!!
I looked down to see the cup was half full. It took me
about 2 seconds to put the smile and the liquid
in the cup together. I realized he had peed in the cup.
What the heck!!!!! Who's child is he! And the worst
part- when I questioned him about the liquid in
the cup, he proudly stated "mommy I went tinkle!"
Nasty, Nasty Nasty!!! I have a few questions for
his daddy when he gets home!!!!!!!!!

War Hero

My amazing husband spent 9 moths in Iraq
this past year diffusing bombs! (obviously not
his normal job!) He was stationed in a Polish
war camp with a group of coalition forces from all
over the world. It was a rough 9 months,
but all that hard work payed off! David received
A Bronze Star last week!!! For those of you
who don't speak military...other
than a Presidential Medal of Honor
or a Purple Heart...It's a good as
it gets. There was a fantastic but
vague write up about all the
great things he did while he was there.
Quite frankly, I don't really want to know
the details of how he earned it. Some things
in life are better left unknown!
Other bragging rights-He also
made Major! His dad was able
to pin him on this week!
(yeah pay raise!!) Can you tell I'm a
proud wife. Pictures to come soon.

Uintah's hunting for Elk!
