Daily Religious Tidbits

One thing I love about living in the South is the
plethra of Religion. Most people are very devout
in their respective Faith's. Some go so far as to post
Scriptural reference on thier vehicles and store fronts.
I usually have my 7 verses read by the time I get to work!
Revelations 1:9 seems to be a favorite.
In front of most churches you will find a small billboard like you
would find in front of a school. Pastors post a
message, usually Sunday's sermon topic, for
passerby's to read. I love to read them! Some are really
clever. This week a couple caught my eye....
" Our church is Prayer conditioned" -hilarious!
" Courage is Fear with a dose of Prayer"-clever
Although some messages are rather blasphemous,
I do admire the courage of these individuals for
sharing thier Faith. I need to be more like that!

I noticed last week that one of the churches here in town had "Friends don't let friends go to hell" posted on their sign. Our local McDonald's restaurant also prints bible verses on the tops of their receipts, and highlights them in yellow! Isn't the South great?

Rob said his favorite one he saw in the south was "Our Sundays are better than Dairy Queens" or another one he saw said "Don't let six strong men carry you to church"

LOVED this post. Your wording is fabulous! I know what you mean though. There is a church right at the turn where I took Madalyn to and from preschool everyday with one out front where they always post the most clever sayings. I'll have to call you when they post another good one!
